Am I surprised that an over-promoted tech sales guy worth $1B doesn’t get how Real Life goes? My tech career crossed paths with a variety of managers, directors, presidents, CIOs and such. Many were great people, but too many lacked actual skills beyond building their budget nests.
Just reflecting out loud, while I loved most staff teams, so many bosses let us down.
